3:16 Plan - Week 22 - Day 3 - Year 3 - Galatians 4

We are no longer slaves to fear, we are children of God!

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Galatians 4:3 - And that's the way it was with us before Christ came. We were like children; we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world.

Sin desires to keep us enslaved but from within it God calls us into a new life as His children where we can experience true freedom.  This freedom should produce good fruit from us which means we have a good measurement as to whether we walk in freedom daily or not.  We need not inspect the fruit of others living but we can surely inspect our own and if it is good then we can rejoice but if it is bad then we must run to Christ and His Spirit.

Yield

Lord, I will walk in Freedom in You today.

Revelation

Paul desires Christ to be ‘fully developed’ in the Galatian Christians.  This is another word for being sanctified.  To grow in this way requires the transforming/Morphing of God’s Holy Spirit.  As children of God’s promises by faith we can grow to be fully developed in Mind, Body & Soul and in Head, Heart and Hands.

3:16 Plan - Week 22 - Day 2 - Year 3 - Galatians 2

Christ lives in you so trust in His power and care.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Galatians 2:5 - We wanted to preserve the truth of the gospel message for you.

There were some trying to lead the church astray by mixing the Old Covenant and the New.  Make no mistake, the New Covenant in Christ has fulfilled the Old because YOU COULD NOT.  This should produce great thanksgiving in the Christ-Follower.  Rather than count the commandments we should focus upon Christ and His sanctifying power to help us grow more and more like Him.

Lord, I will live in Your Freedom today.

Revelation

Sometimes folks can build a religion around our faith that is more restrictive than the gospel would intend.  God gives Freedom in Christ when we are Mended by Jesus so do not create new ways to trap yourself in a religious system that resembles the weight of sin for those who are marred by it.

3:16 Plan - Week 22 - Day 1 - Year 3 - Galatians 1

This week we will ready and study the small book of Galatians where Paul's helps us grasp that

When the Cross has competition,

the Spirit is constrained.

When the Cross is central,

the Spirit can be in control.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Galatians 1:4 Jesus gave his life for our sins, just as God our Father planned, in order to rescue us from this evil world in which we live.

There is only one Gospel. We must not turn from it towards any other belief or doctrine. Jesus is the Son of God who lived perfectly, died sacrificially and rose victoriously so that you could have life in Him by grace through faith.

Yield

Lord, I will stay true to Your true Gospel.

Revelation

To Know God is to know His Gospel and stay true to it. Many have fallen away into myth’s and mimicry in this area but they find themselves trying to Love and serve a replica made my the master of deception who is the enemy of their souls: Satan. We must be resolute on the Gospel and Know God through Christ alone

3:16 Plan - Week 21 - Day 4 - Year 3 - Acts 16:13-24

From a comfy home to a prison cell, our attitudes best not be determined by our location.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Acts 16:15 She was baptized along with other members of her household, and she asked us to be her guests. "If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord," she said, "come and stay at my home." And she urged us until we agreed.

These Christ-followers were always moving and always responding to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  One moment they are sharing with women on the Sabbath and the next they were taking the opportunity to remove a demon from another girl then they find themselves in prison.  Let’s make sure our obedience is not location based but is Lordship based…because Jesus is our Lord we will do what He says when He says it.

Yield

Lord, I will serve You no matter where You place me.

Revelation

Obedient Service to God flows out of Knowing and Loving Him rather than out of situation or circumstance.  Otherwise, our service to God will wane when it rains or slow when it snows.  The deep well of love for God and the new Mindset of Knowing God and His will and way is what will keep us serving in spite of any earthly setback.

3:16 Plan - Week 21 - Day 3 - Year 3 - Acts 16:6-12

Remember, God sometimes answers our prayers with ‘No’.  That can be as confirming and positive as a ‘Yes’ or even a ‘Not Now’.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Acts 16:9 That night Paul had a vision: A man from Macedonia in northern Greece was standing there, pleading with him, "Come over to Macedonia and help us!"

This group of church planting missionaries simply wanted to serve Jesus and His Kingdom.  They kept trying to go places and God continued to redirect.  When God redirects in our lives we must be sensitive to His Spirit’s guiding rather than sensitive to our own desires.  A no to one way is a help for us to discern where God’s ‘Yes’ is…

Yield

Lord, I will not be overly sensitive to Your ‘No’ answers because I trust You.

Revelation

Obediently Serving God when He agrees with what you want is pretty easy.  Obediently Serving God when He says ‘No’ or ‘Not Now’ can be difficult, frustrating and even an emotional roller coaster.  Allow God to Morph your Mindset so that when He lovingly says ‘No’ then you are able to accept that as a caring redirection from a Good Father.

3:16 Plan - Week 21 - Day 2 - Year 3 - Acts 16:1-5

God’s natural order is for those older and wiser to invest in those younger and without experience.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Acts 16:2 Timothy was well thought of by the believers in Lystra and Iconium, 3 so Paul wanted him to join them on their journey.

Being mentored by an elder leader in the faith is a vital part of growing in Christ.  Young Timothy got to spend very important time with the Apostle Paul going from town to town and doing the daily work of ministry.  It was invaluable for him (as were the two Bible letters written to him that we now have as letters for us).  Who has mentored you?  Do you allow anyone to speak into your spiritual life?

Yield

Lord, I will listen to Your Spirit’s guidance as I seek to relate to those different than me.

Revelation

Timothy was apparently willing to be circumcised…a painful ordeal as an adult.  Why would he submit to such a thing when he would not have to (it wasn’t for salvation nor was it visible)?  He and Paul surely sensed a leading by God’s Holy Spirit to do so.  This falls into the category of Obedient Service that requires something hard from a person.  Do you have anything falling into that category that God is nudging you to step into?

3:16 Plan - Week 21 - Day 1 - Year 3 - Acts 15

There is a difference between disagreement and division…the difference is often how long the disagreement persists.  Let’s run to reconciliation with every relationship possible.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Acts 15:1 While Paul and Barnabas were at Antioch of Syria, some men from Judea arrived and began to teach the believers: "Unless you are circumcised as required by the law of Moses, you cannot be saved." 2 Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently.

One group of Christians saw it one way and another group saw it another way.  Sound familiar?  When disagreements happen, we must decide whether it is an open-handed issue where we can choose to disagree or whether it is a close-fisted issue that must be reconciled to move on together.  Anything pertaining specifically to the Gospel will be a closed-fisted issue as this was and must be dealt with.  Let’s make sure we strive to deal with such matters with love, grace and truth…as the disciples did.

Yield

Lord, I will be willing to work through disagreements in a loving manner.

Revelation

Satan lurks near every disagreement desiring to Deceive, Divide and Destroy.  It is by the leadership of the Holy Spirit that we can rise above his antics and continue to Know God through Christ (and His ways), Love God and Others (in spite of differences) and Obediently Serve God (even through choosing what is right and wrong).
