Jesus left Israel and its ‘lost sheep’ and travels through a new region where we see Him giving the gifts of salvation and healing to non-Jewish people.  This woman’s faith and persistence show us the posture we are to take with our Lord.

Tradition are things we do often times simply because we became comfortable or complacent.  When tradition seeps into our relationship with Christ we can find ourselves simply being religious without our hearts and minds truly being engaged and therefore transformed.

After powerful miracles, the religious still doubted.  Jesus continued to strive with them in teaching graciously and truthfully even though their questions bordered on blasphemy at times.

Jesus wasn’t physically present with His disciples when the storm came but He was near.  Likewise, we must develop a trust that God never leaves nor forsakes us so that we can live with confident expectation that He can see us through any storm.

The disciples returned from a tour of 2x2 ministry and Jesus’ recognized their need for rest.  Seeking rest after investing heavily in others is a good thing.  However, others don’t often wait till you are rested before bringing their need to you…how do you handle that?  You serve and love and then look for another opportunity to rest.

The concept of scarcity is in opposition to a Biblical Worldview.  The God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills has promised to care for your needs as a good Father.  As God Morphs your Mindset, allow Him to develop within you an expectation of abundance defined as all you need according to His will and way!

Often Jesus is given credit for bad things and robbed of credit of Good. Other times those unfamiliar with the savior just try and associate Him with something or someone from their own experience. This affords you and opportunity to share the Messiah who is ‘like Not other’.

How did Herod hear so much about Jesus? Many others shared stories of Jesus’ great impact on them and their region. This is still how others are typically introduced to Him and is best shared by those who can share a personal testimony of how The Lord has changed their lives.

John the Baptist had been a faithful messenger for God.  Now his faith was going to get him killed.  True persecution like this is so hard to see in the world.  It still happens today.  Praying for the persecuted is a vital role for the Christ-follower.
