Today, look back over your last three readings in Matthew 8. Notice anything special? Jesus broke tradition with each one. First, He touched a leper, second, he associated and helped a Roman Official and lastly, He touched a woman. Each of these was a no-no for a 'good jew' and especially for a Rabbi (teacher) as many people referred to Him. What are we to learn from this? Clearly, there is a time to uphold correct form and even tradition but there is also a time to set it aside? When is that time? I believe it is when we know we will please Our Father in Heaven by doing it! What traditions have you held onto instead of holding onto obedience to The Lord?
