I'm going to let you in on a little secret. No matter how much a person seems to 'have it all together'...none of us ever do. Sure, we may have some things going just right but we all have 'stuff' that isn't going right at all.
I tell you this because in The Way Community (or any gathering of Christian people) we are guaranteed to have times were we need help. That is actually one of the great benefits of community in that we can be there for one-another when our stuff isn't 'all together'! Part of being a Christian Community means that we don't run away when things are uncomfortable. We do the opposite...we charge in. When a member of the Body of Christ suffers, we suffer with them. When a member of the Body falls away, we come alongside them to urge them back to God. When a member of the Body needs encouragement we bring that encouragement. This is the great benefit of Christian Community...yet it can also be hard. Accountability is tough. Love can be tough too. Read these vital verses and pray about how you can live them out:
2 Corinthians 1:3-7
Consider the people in your life and ask yourself if you are 'charging in to support them' or 'running away from the things that make you uncomfortable'. I bet there is a person in your 'community' that needs you and that needs The Lord. Look for a way to come alongside them.
