Church

Where do you go to church? It is common to ask that question or to explain your faith life by telling someone 'where you go on Sunday's'. There is nothing wrong with identifying with a particular church but there are dangers in associating only with a building or certain meeting that happens. Here is our statement of faith on this issue:

I am not called to attend a church but to be a part of ‘The Body of Christ’ which will be done in cooperation with other believers. I am bound at the heart and soul level with other believers for the purpose of Worshipping God with my life. WORSHIP is not an event, it is the lifestyle I will lead.

We tend to be 'event driven' and that is dangerous. We each need to attend church functions because we are fit together and knit together with others pursuing the same Way. The benefits of being part of Jesus' Body are huge! Read Ephesians 4:14-16: Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.

We each have special work to do individually and as part of the bigger Body. Find folks going towards The Way - Jesus and join in with all your heart and soul. If you are ready to look for such a group I invite you to check out our faith family!
