Separation

Have you ever dealt with Separation Anxiety.  It used to be that this was most common for Kindergarterner's going off to school on their first day (and their Momma's watching them walk into class).  Now, people experience similar emotions when they have misplaced their smartphone.

God has designed His Creation in such a way as to long for closeness and to desire relationship with Him.  The opposite of that close relationship would be separation.  Choosing our own way rather than His Way separates us from God in this life.  It also separates us eternally. Back to our statement in regard to the end times:

In His own time, God will bring this current world to an end when Jesus will return as King to judge all those (living and dead).  Those displaying Christ Righteousness will be given their reward of eternal life with God.  The unrighteous will be sent to everlasting punishment in hell. My life is victorious based only upon how I follow Christ not upon my accomplishments. Final victory will be met with these words from my Savior “Well done, My good and faithful servant”.  My hope is found in the eternal Victory and Joy of living in the presence of God forever.

The Salvation we gain through faith in Jesus Christ brings us into right relationship with Him.  Not all will place their faith in Christ therefore Some will not be saved.

Read in 2 Thessalonians 1:5-9: - This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be considered worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are also suffering— since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will suffer the punishment of eternal destruction, away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,

The judgement of God seems so severe.  It is...yet it is just.  It is a choice to be separate from God - Now and Forever.  It will create the ultimate separation anxiety than will not end.  Avoid that Now and Forever by entering into right relationship with Holy God through Faith in Jesus Christ.  Let the Grace of God bring you close to Him and you will never have any need for anxiety about the end!
