Stay Calm and March on - Exodus 14

Evil rarely quits...revenge doesn't sleep...

Pharoah pursues God's people all the way to the Red Sea.  The Israelites feel trapped.  The sea in front of them and the enemy behind them...they are forced to look 'UP' for their deliverance!  Their leader speaks words to them to help them do this:

But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the LORD rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” (‭Exodus‬ ‭14‬:‭13-14‬ NLT)

We need to hear that Word many times in our lives.  We are so quick to fight our own battles when The Lord will fight for His people.  We are so quick to feel hopeless when God has provided us the ultimate hope.  We are so quick to panic in the face of insurmountable odds but God speaks to our hearts to 'stay calm'.

On one side, God splits the might sea in half.  On the other side, God's presence gets between the Israelites and the Egyptian army.  When we follow God's Plan, we may be asked to do very odd and very faithful things (like walking thru a sea that is split) but we do not have to look back because God has us covered.

Do you spend time looking back that should be spent looking up and looking to what is next!

Have a great weekend.
