Have you ever seen something great happen to someone else and wondered ‘What About Me?’ Especially when it comes to receiving blessings from God, we can often wonder if we are good enough, have done enough or deserve to receive much of anything from Him. In Mark 8:1-10 we see a powerful example of how broad God’s love is as well as a fabulous answer to the ‘What About Me?’ question.

First, Jesus offered a similar blessing to this group of people than He had for ‘His own people’ in Mark 6:30-44. He traveled to a region that was outside of the racial and social lines. Sometimes we think that we might be left out because we aren’t the right type of person. The love of God is not bound by bloodline.
Next, it is important to see that what we have does not limit God’s Blessings. For instance, the 4,000 didn’t have anything that day. The disciples only had 7 loaves…not nearly enough. Our poverty does not limit God’s resources. The love of God is not bound by what we have or don’t have.
Have you ever asked God ‘What About Me?’. His answer is clear. Romans 8 teaches us that ‘NOTHING’ can separate us from the love of God. The only thing holding back God’s love from you is your receiving of His love already offered freely to you in Christ.
