Where do I find hope and how do I get there?

[1] I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? [2] My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2 ESV)

Hope is a something we all need to carry on each day. Without hope you are immobilized and you get to a place where you are just surviving. The psalmist is at that overwhelming spot where he throw up his hands in the air with his eyes focused on high and he shouts “where does my help come from”!!

I bet you have been or might be in that spot today where you feel hopeless and helpless where all you can do is “Ask where will help come for me?"

This is a picture in my mind of a person on his knees with hands held high.

This brings me to this point - where do I find hope? On your knees crying out to God.

The father is there to answer your every need and to comfort you. He says “[28] Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 ESV)”

Then the Palmist points you to this as he says “Here is where I find my help - My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. This just got put in perspective for us. You are calling out to the very one who rules over all! The one who made all the world out of nothing, He spoke it into existence! MAN!! Suddenly your big unsolvable issue does not seem that big and unsolvable anymore. The one that spoke the universe into existence is the very same one that will handle my problem if I let Him. That gives me hope!

No wonder Paul wrote this [13] I can do all things through him who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 ESV)

Remember that it starts out on your knees calling out to the all powerful, almighty God.

The greatest thing one man can do for another is pray! Prayer is where the battle is won. Prayer is where you lay your strength down and take on the strength of the almighty Father. When you lost hope or when you are searching for hope - PRAY!!

For you that might have some doubts today that this is really the way or for you that might think “How do I know He will help me in time of trouble I say this".

[16] “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 ESV)

God loves you so much that He sent His son down to earth to die for your sins. He sent His Son so you can have eternal life. Let me tell you that He already proved His love for you and someone that loves you that much will never ever let you down!
