WorshipFULL

As I reflect on yesterday’s time together at WindCity Church I am thankful to be able to gather often with each of you for the purpose of worshipping the One True God thru His Son Jesus. Yesterday seemed different. It seemed that our small tribe of friends and family gathered with a greater preparation to let God know how we felt about it. It seemed that hearts were better prepared to both call out to Holy God in praise but also to receive God’s Word as it was spoken. For that reason, I think we were more than worshipful - we were WorshipFULL. This is a good thing and reminds me of 1 Chronicles 16:

23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. 24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. 25 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. 27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 28Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. 30 Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. 31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”

Now, worship is more than a song but a song is a great way to worship. I wonder if our WorshipFULLness on Sunday is coming as a result of more individual worship in our lives between Sundays? I hope so.

Worship Lyrics often describe the majesty and splendor of God and as we sign those lyrics we are reminded and refreshed that we serve a truly Awesome God.

Today, I am glad that The Lord Reigns and that He is Reigning in the hearts of people I gather with each week. If you aren’t part of a local church in the Casper area then I challenge you to be my guest and see what I’m talking about!
