Although we finished our five weeks in Mark 13 where we celebrated the ultimate Hope for any troubled time - ultimate salvation through faith in Jesus - we mustn’t forget that God’s Word is a hope-filled book at every corner. A favorite of mine is within the text below and teaches that this hope will not disappoint or put us to shame. What a comfort! So many things fall short of what is advertised but Christ delivers on His promise to give a abundant life to His followers!
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
Romans 5:1-5 ESV
Remember, True and appropriate Hope is hope in Christ that we have access via faith alone. No matter the suffering, the Savior satisfies every need. Let his love pour into your heart today and each day following. Spread Hope as you spread the love of Almighty God displayed and given through God The Son - Jesus.
