3:16 Plan - Day 2 - Year 1 - Genesis 3-4

Sin and Satan crouch at the edge of God's perfect plans both then and now.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Psalm 119:9 How can a young person stay pure? By obeying your word. 10 I have tried hard to find you--don't let me wander from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. 12 I praise you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. 13 I have recited aloud all the regulations you have given us. 14 I have rejoiced in your laws as much as in riches. 15 I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways. 16 I will delight in your decrees and not forget your word.

Lord I seek to obey you and become pure in your sight. Let me find You in this time of devotion today.

Read - Genesis 3-4

From perfection to deception, our choices led us out of fellowship with God. As we see the first family fall into temptation do we see an oft repeated pattern? How might we better resist temptation? Consider James 4:7 'Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.'

Notice the serpent's temptation came by challenging God's Word...could it be that it still does and how must we apply that reality to our daily walk of life?

Genesis 3:21 speaks of skins that God Made for them. How? What implications might this first sacrifice have on our overall understanding of The Gospel? What is the difference in the offerings from Cain and Abel? When giving of our time, talent and treasure to God how should this affect us?

Pray that God will show you a clear picture of the curse of sin and give you a pure heart to resist it!

Why did God create Satan? Who did Cain marry?

We get a full picture of triangle number two today (Marred by Sin) when man falls into sin. He exchanges knowing God for knowing evil which introduces our second visual. God designed us to know Him,Love Him and Serve Him and our fall created separation from that perfection.
