Today, God indwells the follower of Jesus with His Holy Spirit. By God’s Spirit, we are blessed with spiritual gifts like wisdom. Those gifts certainly bless us but they also bless others. In today’s reading, a foreign queen is introduced to the eternal love of God because of the Spiritual gift of Solomon’s wisdom. What has God put in you? Is it coming out in a way that introduces or reminds others of the eternal love that God has for us?
Lord, help me to be a light for You amongst those where I live, work and play.
Who was this ‘Queen of Sheba’?
The Queen is introduced to God through the knowledge and wisdom of God. Through this, she sees the Love of God for His people. How would the Queen act from here? She could return to her land with this newfound knowledge and a love relationship with Holy God or she could simply be a hearer and not a do-er. We do not know for certain what happened…nor is it really our business. Just as Solomon did, we have our own obedient service to worry about rather than that of others. Solomon served God faithfully in his testimony to the queen. Will we?
