Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 72:1 : Endow the king with your justice, O God, the royal son with your righteousness.

The throne of Israel was God’s gift to Solomon, David’s son. Although he wasn’t the eldest he was the one called and anointed to the role by God. Often, we place a pecking order upon things in this world that seem logical and fair but are missing a primary ingredient - Is it what God wants and calls to be? Solomon would deal with many whom didn’t agree with God’s call in this matter but it didn’t change the outcome. God’s will would be done. This is a good lesson for us. Even when we disagree with what God has put in place, we need not fight it or try to up-end it. It is going to happen. Get on board and agree with God.
Lord, when You call me into a role that seems too big I will trust You.

Adonijah needed to overcome what he thought was owed to him. He didn’t. Instead, he fell into Satan’s trap and began to try and Deceive and Divide and Destroy Solomon’s God-given Kingdom. As it always does in the end, this cost Adonijah dearly…eventually taking his life. The Marring of Sin always does this without repentance and Mending through God now given to us in Christ.
