Apply

Although Uzziah wasn’t a perfect king he had been a long tenured king (52 years).  The nation of Judah had done well under his leadership and things had been relatively good.  His death would have been a national tragedy that would have brought great grief and mourning.  It is from that vantage that Isaiah begins his ministry as prophet to the nation.  As you deal with tough times, consider how God could be using those circumstances to spur you into action for him!

Yield

Lord, when you call I desire to answer ‘Here am I’.

Revelation

Isaiah is taken from grief and death (a reminder of the marring of sin) to the glory of heaven (a glimpse of Marveling in heaven) so that he can be purified of his sin (Mended) before he is able to be the messenger God is calling (Ministry).  As Isaiah was called and sent, so God is sending you!
