3:16 Plan - Week 46 - Day 1 Year 1 - 2 Kings 16:1-9, 2 Chronicles 28:1-15, Isaiah 7:1-9

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Isaiah 7:9 - Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm.

Read - 2 Kings 16:1-9, 2 Chronicles 28:1-15, Isaiah 7:1-9

Judgment approaches for both Israel (prophetically announced to be only 65 years away) and Judah.  Both are in the crosshairs of God anger because although they had been given much…they were quickly squandering their blessings.  Kings sacrificing their own children…brothers killing brothers in civil war…this was not God’s perfect plan but was the result of a steady wandering from His law and His purposes.  As Isaiah 6:13 announced, God wouldn’t completely remove this people.  However, it would now be another season of waiting and purifying as the nation would lose significance. Much later remnant will arise out of the ashes and bring forth a holy seed - Jesus.

Lord, even if in minority, I place a firm faith in You and Your plans.

Extra Discovery

Take a look at Leviticus 18:21.  You wouldn’t think we would need such council, but the King of Judah proves that we do.

To be morphed is to be filled by the Holy Spirit of God when saved (Mended by Christ).  When morphed, we have our minds renewed, our motivations changed and a ministry given.  In many Old Testament passages we see the desperate need to be Morphed by the Holy Spirit.  Without the ‘voice of truth’ we are so easily Misled.  Give thanks for the gracious gift of the Spirit of God in the life of the follower of Christ!
