Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Isaiah 11:10 In that day the heir to David's throne will be a banner of salvation to all the world.
Read - Isaiah 10:20-12:6
God’s Word daringly instructs us that our sin is going to give us painful consequences. For Israel and Judah, that meant war, captivity and homelessness. God’s grace pairs with that to say that even while we are still sinners, God loves us so much that He made a way for us to be saved. Out of the stump of David’s family (out of Judah and the Covenant promise of of God to David) Jesus was coming…in time…to save YOU and ME.
Lord, let me be a part of the new branch of faith in Christ.
Revelation 20 speaks about a time where humanity will have the peace and safety talked about in Isaiah 11:4-9.
If ever there was a Prophecy that accurately depicted being ‘Mended by Christ’, this is it! The nation would despair and sit in darkness until a time when God resurrects hope and life out of the stump of the nation. Jesus would save the world through His life, death and resurrection. He would be the banner of salvation to all the world!
