Live life one day at a time and hold on to your faith even when it is challenged by testing or trials.
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 119: 105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. 106 I've promised it once, and I'll promise it again: I will obey your righteous regulations. 107 I have suffered much, O LORD; restore my life again as you promised.
Read - Job 1 -
Job’s opening chapter draws many questions and not as many answers. Who were these ‘Sons of God’ also known as the ‘Heavenly Court’? Where was Uz (also mentioned in Jeremiah 25)? Why is sinful Satan allowed access to God? Why does God allow Satan to test Job?
As we see God allowing Satan to test Job, we see God is aware and allowing this suffering and that He is not the cause of it. We must be careful not to blame God in instances when we suffer even when we don’t understand why.
Job’s intercession for his children is a marvelous example of how we as parents, family and faith family can and should pray for and over those whom we know and love.
Job didn’t sin in all of this struggle. What a testimony! How can we grieve and mourn without sinning?
Lord, help me to remain faithful to You even in the day of trouble.
1 John 2 and 3 are great reads to understand how the enemy (Satan) thinks and how he schemes to hurt you.
Did Job’s knowledge of God and Love of God allow his willingness to serve God even while he struggled with this test.
