Did you notice that as the plagues continue that God protects the Israelites in the land of Goshen?  How might this parallel the Christian Life at times?

Why the unrelenting judgment?  So that God’s name would be made great and proclaimed among the entire earth.  God takes His Name and His Glory seriously and we have a huge part in the proclamation of it.

Pharaoh bargains…first to let the men go alone and then to let the people go but not the livestock.  When Moses says ‘not a hoof will be left behind’ he is giving us a pattern when it comes to sin.  Don’t negotiate.  Remember, sin will take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay, and cost you more than you want to pay.

Yield

Lord, like the 9th plague, thank you for offering the Light of Christ into my life so I don’t have to dwell in darkness.  I choose to live in the Light of Your Gospel and Grace!

Revelation

Was Pharaoh ‘Misled’ by the Enemy?  Yes!  Did his ‘hard heart’ show the grip of the ‘Marring of Sin’ in his life? Yes!  Did Pharaoh have glimpses of recognition?  Yes!  Did he ever fully relent from his hard heart and repent of his evil ways?  No.  It takes a full repentance to receive a full ‘Mending by Christ’.  Have you?
