3:16 Plan - Day 1 - Week 12 - Year 1 - Exodus 31-32

If your energies aren’t used for God’s Purposes you will find poor replacements.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Psalm 1:1 Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. 3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.

Bezalel & Oholiab are both physically gifted to serve God’s purposes in craftsmanship.  How has God gifted you?  Moses had been given specific instructions on how and what to build for the Tabernacle and for Worship but he wasn’t gifted to do it.  God regularly works through a ‘Body’ of people who are all wired and talented in unique ways!

God reminds the people of the Sabbath Rest they will need as they are about to engage in a busy time.  God knows what we need and when we need it!

Rather than spend their energies in a productive way (as God outlined), Israel has Aaron craft them a Golden Calf from materials that were to be used for the Tabernacle.  Separation from God always brings us into sin. What ‘gods’ have you made?

Yield

Lord, train me to use my gifts and talents in away that brings glory to You.

Extra Discovery

Egypt had worshipped a Calf-Like God so this was likely severe Idolatry.

Revelation

In the calling of Bezalel we see how God ‘gifts’ us to serve Him.  As a New Testament follower of Jesus, this ‘gifting’ comes through the Morphing (transformation) by His Holy Spirit as He fills us and we submit to Him.  When we allow, God will change our Mindset and our Motivation and will give us a Ministry to serve Him.
