Hard work and elbow grease can be very much a part of your faith life.
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 25: 4 Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. 5 Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you. 6 Remember, O LORD, your compassion and unfailing love, which you have shown from long ages past.
Read - Exodus 39-40
Now Bezalel takes all that craftsmanship and puts it into the priestly wardrobe. What would your wardrobe be like if you had a God’s appointed builder on the job? Seriously though, it was important that everything was ‘just so’ for the tabernacle worship to be holy. Do we take care in how we prepare ourselves for worship of Almighty God?
After all of this great care is taken, the Glory of The Lord filled the place. So much so that nobody could enter including Moses. This cloud of God’s Glory would become a symbol to help the new nation know when to stay and when to go. God still gives direction. Do we listen for it?
Lord, as You lead I will follow. Show me Your path, Your way and Your Glory.
What would you think if I wore these to church next Sunday?
God gives guidance in how we are to Know, Love and Serve Him. He doesn’t leave us to wander although (like Israel) our own sin can cause us to endure ‘wandering seasons’. Seek His guidance (like the cloud in today’s text).
