3:16 Plan - Week 15 - Day 4 - Year 1 - Numbers 19-21

Genuine Christian leaders are called to a high bar of living.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Colossians 3:13 - Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.  Forgive as The Lord forgave you.

Read - Numbers 19-21

The people had been disciplined for accusing Moses of sin.  Now Moses falls into sin by not directly obeying God’s Command at Meribah.  God is judge and jury for all including those He appoints and anoints to lead under His authority. The consequence?  Moses won’t enter the promised land!

During this 40 years of wandering the people have complained often.  Complaining did not please God then and does not please Him now.

God went before Israel and fought for them against enemies that were likely more powerful, better armed and on their ‘home-turf’.  When facing odds that don’t seem to add up always seek God’s will before pushing through.

Lord, help me to obey Your voice and please go before me in every battle of my life.

Extra Discovery

Don’t miss the significance of the Bronze Serpent:

As Israel moves towards the end of their 40 year journey, Aaron and Miriam both die in the wilderness.  The curse of sin brings death.  For these two, and for the many others who die during this time, we see that sin can keep us from experiencing the ultimate promises that God has given for our lives.
