3:16 Plan - Week 17 - Day 3 - Year 1 - Deuteronomy 7-10

God will make a way where there seems to be No Way!

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Psalm 107 - Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love.

Read - Deuteronomy 7-10

God has chosen Israel based upon His desires for them not their goodness.  Similarly, that is how is grace operates towards us!

God blessed Israel with the strength to endure during the desert wandering (including the duration of their clothing).  This is similar to the endurance God grants the follower of Jesus.

God’s faithfulness remains the reason for His adoption of Israel, in spite of their sinfulness and shortcomings.  God’s Grace is faithful to you today too.

Lord, You chose me and I choose You back!

Why did God choose Israel? https://www.gotquestions.org/why-God-choose-Israel.html

As I come to Know God better I begin to Know myself better too.  This keeps me more humble and helps me to realize that He didn’t choose me based upon my ‘attributes’ but upon His Grace.  Knowing this makes a deeper Love for God swell within my heart. Deuteronomy 10:12-13 is a great example of the Know-Love-Serve Triangle too!
