New leadership can be unsettling but God and His Way rule no matter which human He is working thru!
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 31:1-2 - In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me!
Incline your ear to me; rescue me speedily! Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me!
Read - Joshua 1
What word does God give and repeat to His new leader and to the people thru that new leader: Be strong and courageous! Both of these attributes come from God but include choices by us. Choosing to operate in God's strength rather than my own...choosing to resist fear and remain courageous!
An oft repeated promise of God is found here: I will not leave or forsake you. That is a promise we must never forget!
Lord, I choose faith over fear and your strength in the place of my weakness!
Here is a nice intro to the book of Joshua: https://www.gotquestions.org/Book-of-Joshua.html
When God calls us to step up to lead every fiber of our being will be stretched. Joshua steps up here and is challenged to stay in The Word (verse 8), Remember whom is with him (verse 5) and to do all God has commanded (verse 7). In other words, to know, love and serve God.
