Rahab was known as a harlot by her people but will be forever known as the person who hid the spies of God’s people as they were about to conquer the foes of God residing in the promised land.  Her identity was changed due to her obedience.  This can happen for you too!

God shows a sign by parting the waters as the Israelites begin to enter the promised land.  This sign would remind them of the God that goes before them just as He had done for the nation of Israel.  Needing to solidify your faith before attempting something big for God?  Look no further than what He has already done and remember His promise to be with you.

Lord, I choose to be identified with You - my Creator, Savior and God.

Extra Discovery

Rahab wouldn’t only be known for her place in Jericho but also for her role as the grandmother of Boaz (Ruth’s Kinsmen Redeemer) and ancestor of The Lord Jesus:

Revelation

Joshua would come to Know that the time was now to enter the promised land.  His love for God and God’s people would compel him to lead the people.  The land of promise was occupied by many who didn’t claim the One True God.  Joshua’s task would be to rid the land of unbelief and fulfill the promise given during the Exodus.  No pressure?  Serving God isn’t a promise not to have pressure but a promise to know that all the pressure has a purpose!
