Samson continues to be useful to God's purpose for Israel and judges them for 20 years. The war between Israel and the Philistines really heats up during these years.  Similar to how God seems to use Samson in spite of his faults, Israel binds him and sends him to their enemy where he wreaks havoc.

Samson's lack of discretion with women is rivaled by his dullness in being manipulated by Delilah. When you sleep with a dog you will end up getting fleas (borrowed from my friend Justin Stockton).

Revelation

Violence begets violence in this life. Jesus would later instruct us that those who live by the sword would also die by it.  As Samson looked for love in all the wrong places he didn't have a strong love relationship with God. This caused his serving/doing to be rash and fleshly rather than motivated properly.
