Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Lord, as I walk thru the valley of the shadow of death, I won't fear...for You are with me. Psalm 23
Read - Ruth 1-2
The story of Ruth and her mother in law has much to say to any family hurt by strife or loss today. God can work through even the toughest situations to care for you and yours no matter how bleak the outcome may appear at this time.
Also, as with Boaz, God may call upon you to be His hands and feet in the process of caring for another in the midst of their pain. Be ready!
Lord, I will trust you even when the situation seems hopeless!
A good summary of the book of Ruth for our two day reading!
Ruth's family experienced all the tortuous consequences of a sin cursed world. Satan loves to rob from man. All the way back to Adam, who lost his relationship with the father, the female, and lost the farm and got fired from his job. Bottom line, because of the fall of sin, we now we all have a funeral. You can see so much of this in Naomi and Ruth. Funerals, cursed Farm that requires them to move, Israel’s brokenness and stubbornness towards God The Father and so much more. However, God is in the restoration business and is quietly preparing a wonderful family for these ladies.
