Redemption requires a redeemer that is supplied by God.
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 23:1-3 - The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. 2 He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 3 He renews my strength.
Read - Ruth 3-4
Pure love as shown between Boaz and Ruth is rare. Boaz was ready to redeem and care for Ruth and her family. Rather than feeling the crushing weight of responsibility, he felt the glowing opportunity of showing the love of God through his actions.
Boaz is a picture/type of Christ in his rescue of Ruth and her family. The love of Christ rescued and redeemed us when no other thing could. Boaz/Ruth would find themselves in the parental line of Jesus’ earthly family. Read Matthew 1 for proof.
Lord, help me to be a part of Your great redeeming plan on the planet!
A reminder of the law that brought Boaz and Ruth together. God’s Law has wonderful results!
Ruth, Naomi and her family returned to Israel and were restored in their faith to the Father. The marriage of Ruth and Boaz is used to restore the family. The land’s famine was over and replaced with an abundance. Rather than remembering a funeral, this family now celebrated new birth that would be included in the lineage of Jesus Christ the Savior!
