2 Samuel 6:12-19, 1 Chronicles 15:25 - 16:36
There is no greater call than to worship before the presence of God!
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 100: A psalm of thanksgiving. Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! 2 Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. 3 Acknowledge that the LORD is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

The ark comes to the city and blessings come with it. David celebrates this as much as any physical victory as it is a monumental spiritual victory. We can learn to celebrate these types of spiritual victories in our life too!
Lord, give me a heart to worship You know matter who is or isn't watching.
God’s blessing of Obed for housing the ark is a great picture. His name meant serving and is the root word for obedience. May we each be like Obed as we follow Jesus.
David could unashamedly worship God in the public assembly. Why? He knew Him and loved Him. When we know the true God we can serve Him publicly without a worry.
