3:16 Plan - Week 24 - Day 3 - Year 1 - 1 Samuel 14

We bear the spiritual armor of God and are to be with Him heart & soul.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Ephesians 6: 10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

Apply

Saul’s son, Jonathan, is tired of waiting and watching as God’s people are persecuted and his father does nothing.  He rises up in a holy discontent and attacks the Philistines.  A great victory is won and we see the continued faithfulness of God as He provides power for Jonathan and his armorbearer.

Yield

Lord, You have armed me to fight and win the spiritual battles in my life.

Extra Discovery

Read Ephesians 6 to discover the type of armor bearer we have been called to be today!

Revelation

The armor bearer trusted his leader because he knew his heart.  He committed his own life to him because of his heart and he gave life to him in service.  This is a type that we want to imitate in our own relationship with the God whom we can Know, Love and Serve.
