Read - Psalm 35-37

Psalm 35 - Written during another time of fierce and lonely trials, David cries for God to fight for Him and promises faithfulness in return.

Psalm 36 - A great reminder that sin can whisper but that God reveals Himself in much more direct ways - all His Creation!

Psalm 37 - A reminder to trust in the Lord and take delight in Him rather than worrying about what you see happening in other less savory situations.  From this position, God will direct your steps and keep you in His grace!

Lord, I choose not to worry about the wicked or to envy those who do wrong.

Extra Discovery

Once again, a great hymn was written out of this thought from Psalm 36:

Psalm 36:1 gives a chilling depiction of the deceiving work of Satan when David reminds us that ‘sin whispers to the wicked’.  As Satan whispered in the ear of Eve, you and I can hear the whispers of temptation today.  Whether this is a whisper that catches us in sin without Christ (Marred by Sin) or a whisper that catches us off-guard as a Christian (Misled by the Enemy), the Devil is seeking to deceive, divide and destroy your life.  Do not let him.  God’s unfailing love is ready to hide you under the protection of the Holy Spirit.
