3:16 Plan - Week 35 - Day 1 - Year 1 - Psalm 86, 101, 103

Your sins can be removed as far as the east is from the west (complete separation) through Christ!

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Psalm 86:1-2 - Bend down, O LORD, and hear my prayer; answer me, for I need your help. 2 Protect me, for I am devoted to you. Save me, for I serve you and trust you. You are my God.

Read - Psalm 86, 101, 103

Focus your application on Psalm 101 today.  I don’t believe there is a better charge to the follower of Jesus to keep our circle of influence pure.  We have an opportunity to do that and a responsibility to work at it.  Blameless.  Integrity. Reject Perversion.  Don’t tolerate slander.  Don’t endure conceit/pride.  Search for the faithful.  Above Reproach.  Sounds a ton like the qualifications for Christian leadership in the New Testament.  Does it describe you?

Lord, help me to endure with the broken but not to endure wickedness.

Extra Discovery

Psalm 86:4 speaks of Happiness. Many times in the beatitudes in Matthew 5 we read ‘God blesses those who’.  That can be translated as ‘Happy are those’.  Read them here and find a key for your own pursuit of happiness:

The gift of giving our ‘whole heart’ to God is recognizing that when we do we are in full communion with Him through Christ.  You see, He has already fully committed His heart to you (John 3:16) and when you and I reciprocate we will find a perfect relationship with a perfect and Holy God.  What are you waiting on?
