Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 108-13: With God's help we will do mighty things.
Read - Psalm 108, 109, 110
Gut-wrenching Prayer: There are times where we are in need of a ventilation system. Prayer can be that. Psalm 108 shows David doing some top-notch venting. A few thoughts…first, he is venting to God. Often, we vent to others and simply worsen our attitude and theirs. God can handle this so take your burden to the Lord and leave it there. Next, even in his venting, David remained hopeful with his eyes fixed firmly on the deliverance of The Lord. Make sure that as you ‘let it all out to God’ that you remember that you are talking the the God of the universe who can do something about it!
Lord, I will cry out to You when I am in anguish and I will find my hope in You too!
Psalm 110 would become a proof that Jesus would use to defend His Deity to doubters. You can read about it in Matthew 22:41-45.
Psalm 108 is a reminder of our frailty as humans (V 12) yet also a powerful reminder of God’s wonderful attributes as the Creator. When you are unsure of how God is going to come through in your situation, remember that He created all of this…it is all Made by God…He is the owner and can do as He pleases.
