Wisdom proclaims the Creator but foolishness denies it.
Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Psalm 14:2 - The LORD looks down from heaven on the entire human race; he looks to see if anyone is truly wise, if anyone seeks God.
Read - Psalm 14, Psalm 15, Psalm 16
Psalm 14 is know as the April fools day passage because of its declaration in verse 1.
Psalm 15 speaks of the holiness needed to approach our Holy God. As a follower of Jesus we can come boldly to Him.
Psalm 16 is an acknowledgment that everything comes from God…including the glorious afterlife that we are promised. Jesus’ incorruptible resurrection is foretold.
Lord, I will choose to speak truth from a sincere heart.
Psalm 16:10 is a prophetic glimpse of Jesus and His resurrection. Yes, He died…but He rose uncorrupted and incorruptible! Peter quotes this promise and applies it to Jesus in Acts 2:22-28.
Part of the transforming/morphing that The Holy Spirit will do in us is to give us wisdom and wisdom begins with the acknowledgement of God. It doesn't end there but grows into a pursuit of Him. That pursuit is lifelong in nature and requires a wholehearted commitment to know, love and serve Him.
