Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word
Isaiah 5:1 - I will sing for the one I love a song about his vineyard: My beloved had a vineyard on a rich and fertile hill.

As the nation of Judah proves unfruitful spiritually, God uses the parable of Isaiah 5 to paint the picture of their future. It can be applied to us as followers of Jesus as well. Galatians 5 lays out the ‘fruits of the Spirit’ that our lives should produce through surrender. If they are not, then we must be be prepared to change…
Lord, I want to be fruitful and productive according to Your measurement and plan.
Isaiah 5 mentions drunkenness. Here is a thoughtful view on alcohol in Scripture:
Isaiah 5 shows God’s intentions when He Made us and when He Made the nation of Israel. He had expectations and hopes for our fruitfulness…and still does! Often times, when our lives are not in line with God’s design we must experience a barren and difficult season. Why? To prepare the ground of our lives to be fertile and useful. It is through this that we can experience the joy of living for God and for His purposes. It is through these seasons that we can come to Know God better and out of that can love and serve Him wholeheartedly. If your life has become bitter grapes. Ask God to plow the field of your heart to prepare you for a better harvest in the future.
