In all that Hezekiah did, he sought his God wholeheartedly.  This was said about how the king led the people in worship and in following God’s law and was specific to this early season of his reign as king.  It is a glowing recommendation of a faithful leader and should be our aim - wholehearted commitment to Christ.  Hezekiah led the people, or at least a remnant, to return to God.

Revelation

2 Chronicles 29:12 gives us this wonderful picture: “God’s hand was on the people of Judah, giving them all one heart to obey the orders of the king and his officials, who were following the word of the Lord”.  Knowing, Loving and  Serving God is ultimately a gift that God gives to us.  Here, we see that the people followed the word of the Lord - that is how we Know God.  We read that the God gave the people a unified heart - that is they could Love God.  Finally, they could obey and serve out of that changed heart and out of the knowledge of God through His Word.  This is my prayer for us!
