These Psalms (possibly found during Hezekiah’s reign) are full of truths to Know about the mighty God we serve.  One of my favorites is this proclamation in Psalm 44:5 “Only by Your power can we push back our enemies.”  Knowing God is strong is one thing.  Knowing that apart from Him you can do nothing (John 15) is quite another.  Putting those together and living in such a way that surrenders to His strength is vital to the Christian experience.

Yield

Lord, I will rely upon Your Strength today.

Extra Discovery

Psalm 44:23 is a cry to God from the people while they are being judged for their sin.  They think God must be sleeping.  Look what happens when another group wake Jesus up in Matthew 8:23-26.

Revelation

What good is scripture memory?  Take Psalm 46 for example…if you were to commit this to mind (Know) and heart (Love) would it change the way you live (Serve)?   I believe this short Psalm would bring such comfort as to who God is and what He is willing to do to protect you that you would find a new peace and confidence in the relationship He desires to have with you.  Out of that, I believe you could simply ‘Be Still and Know that He is God!’
