3:16 Plan - Week 7 - Day 3 - Year 2 - Isaiah 40-41

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Isaiah 40:6-8 -  "Shout that people are like the grass. Their beauty fades as quickly as the flowers in a field. 7 The grass withers and the flowers fade beneath the breath of the LORD. And so it is with people. 8 The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever."

Read - Isaiah 40-41

Although our lives are short and can seem insignificant (Isaiah 40:6-8), look at the end of Chapter 40.  Our mighty God is ready to help, to strengthen and to save.  Why?  Your life matters to Him.

Lord, thank you for being willing to strengthen me as I serve You.

Extra Discovery

Now this is precise prophecy!!!!  The end of chapter 41 begins to point to Cyrus…

Isaiah predicts that after Judah has been decimated by Babylon that God will appoint a leader in that next Northern country (Persia) to help the Jews return to their homeland.  He describes it in 41:27 as ‘Help is on the way!’  This is a fitting charge for us to keep in mind.  If God will take the Marred and broken nation of Judah and send them help after all they have done then He will also give help to us.  Ultimately, that help begins in the Mending of Christ and continues in the Morphing of the Spirit.  Isaiah 40:29:31 shows us the type of help God sends!
