Doom, Doom, Doom. Like the sound of drums of war, Isaiah sends terrifying words of impending judgement for the sin of people. It calls for this question, “God, do you plan to judge me in this way?” Yes, God is Judge and judgement falls upon us all. Our hope is this - to be found righteous at judgement time due to the righteousness of Jesus. We must not count on any other thing!
Lord, my self righteous thoughts must be crucified so that only the righteousness of Christ covers me..
