From evil to evil, the nation is in turmoil.  One king dies and his son takes the throne and repeats all the evil that his father had done and even worse.  Children watch their parents.  They don’t always emulate everything but they do emulate a lot.  You would hope that Amon would have emulated his father’s repentant prayer and skipped over all the other poor examples…nope.  Let us be careful of the legacy we are leaving for our young ones to mirror.

Lord, help me to create a family legacy of faith and obedience!

Revelation

When a nation is divided by Satan, much evil follows.  An evil king is exterminated by an evil group of officials who are then killed by a group of conspirators.  Evil begat evil.  It’s not only true for a nation but for a person.  What is our defense against such tactics of Satan?  The transformation that comes as we surrender to the Holy Spirit of God gives us a Mindset that keeps Satan from deceiving us.  That same Holy Spirit changes the Motivation of our heart so that satan can no longer divide us.  Ultimately, the Holy Spirit gives us pure and holy Ministry where we can obediently serve Jesus rather than live in the destruction we have read about today!
