Yes, God has spoken through His prophets that the nation would be assaulted and the people crushed.  Yet, underneath that cloud there was still a season of grace.  A young king named Josiah was serving the Lord and making Godly and meaningful choices to honor God and reform the nation.  How would God respond - with grace.  He graciously let the people discover His Word so they had a road map out of their mess and then graciously gave the nation time to reform (although He didn’t nullify His plan).  The lesson - its never too late to serve The Lord.  His love, grace and mercy is new each morning!

Revelation

To Know God, to receive His Light, to be given His Mind - these are all gifts that come in heaping helpings as we engage with His written Word for us - The Bible.  Can you imagine not having the availability of the Scriptures as we do?  I have more Bibles than I can count.  However, many places have a biblical famine.  Strangely, those with the easiest access seem to have the least interest.  We look for truth in any old place while our copy of God’s Holy Word gets dustier.  We pine away for hope while carrying The Sword of the Lord in our car.  We seek peace while discarding the place from whence it comes.  Renew a passion for God’s scriptures or develop one if you have never done so.  Ask God to fill you with a holy desire to know Him through His Word.  See what happens.  You may find spiritual reforms happening in your own life.
