3:16 Plan - Week 11 - Day 5 - Year 2 - Habakkuk

To be in the purview of God’s judgment is a fearful and awful thing that we can avoid by forgiveness of sin in Christ.

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Habakuk 2:1 - I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what the LORD says and how he will answer my complaint.

Read - Habakkuk 1-3

Revelation 2:10 tells followers of Jesus to be ‘faithful unto death and we will receive the crown of life’.  This is the call in the little book of Habakkuk.  In the midst of discipline, God is seeking a faithful people to arise.  This is the vision God wanted His struggling people to have so they would know the target of victory.  The target hasn’t changed.  Have faith in God and your prayers will be answered.  Have faith in God for He watches over His own.  He will not fail!

Lord, I will live by Faith.

Extra Discovery

A central truth in all scripture… https://www.gotquestions.org/righteous-will-live-by-faith.html

What did God want from Judah?  As these prophecies continue to roll in it can easily seem that God is acting for them to perform a certain way.  Yet, Habakkuk 2:4 clarifies that God doesn’t want a performance.  He wants His people that are called by His name to be a people of faith.  If faith is extended that they will be made new and right.  Faith is the gift of God whereby we can be Mended by Christ.  This Faith was modeled by Abraham, Moses and David.  This Faith is pointed toward Jesus Christ and His Saving work on the Cross.  Has faith made you Righteous?
