We learn further proof that present situation doesn’t always determine position with God.  Human thought would have said that God was punishing the exiles and protecting those who remained in Jerusalem.  Spiritual eyes teach us this opposite in this case…God was preparing the exiles to raise up a new generation of Israelites who learned how to follow God while in exile.  We can learn from this…we may not be a majority or even popular in our surroundings but if we follow Christ and His Great Commandment to love then we will be used in our setting!

Yield

Lord, search my heart and soften it to You.

Extra Discovery

Read Jeremiah 52:11 as a parallel of Ezekiel 12:12-13.

Revelation

The Marred person has a stony heart.  The Misled person forgets the work that God has done on his heart and allows it to get crusty again.  The person that is Mended by Christ is the fulfillment of the promise in Ezekiel 11:19.  Their heart is soft to God.  Tender to others.  Responsive to the Spirit’s Morphing.  It is this heart that receives the Knowledge of God and understands the Love relationship offered then accepts it so they can obey (Verse 20).
