WindCity’s Doctrinal Statement
We believe in the Trinity which is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father is infinite, all knowing and all powerful. The Father reigns over all. God the Son is Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God. Jesus was perfectly revealed as a man and did the will of God by taking human sin upon Himself and giving His life as a ransom for that sin by suffering death on the cross and then rising from the dead with power and victory of death, hell and the grave for all mankind who believe on Him and confess Him as Lord. God the Holy Spirit is that comforter that was promised by Jesus to come after He had ascended. That Holy Spirit resides in the believer at salvation and works in us and through us to bring about change. He enlightens and empowers us to serve, worship and evangelize.
Baptist Faith & Message Doctrinal Statement
God - There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
God the Father - God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.
God Made us so that we would come to know, love and serve Him as His children. We were Made to Know
Him as Father. Being Marred by Sin, we lost relationship with our Father. Being Mended by Christ, we can be re-connected to God the Father through Christ the Son.
