Apply

In the midst of a glorious vision of God’s majesty, God speaks to Ezekiel.  Not unlike the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 6), God would call Ezekiel to an important assignment at this time.  That assignment wouldn’t be easy…to share God’s Word with a people who likely wouldn’t listen.  Not every assignment from God has an outcome that seems favorable to us…yet God calls us to find success in our obedience to Him.

Yield

Lord, I will follow You even when the assignment seems tough.

Revelation

The Word of God makes the difference.  It is by hearing the Word that we can be Mended by Christ.  It is by surrendering to the Word that we can be Morphed by the Spirit.  The Word defeats our Marred situation and overcomes any Misleading tactics of our Enemy.  In Ezekiel 2:8, the prophet is called to consume the Word (read more in the early part of Ezekiel 3 tomorrow).  The messages he was to deliver were to be messages that had done a work on his own life first.  This is the difference that we each need.  When we have digested and internalized the powerful word of God then we can be used by Him in mighty ways.
