Read - Ezekiel 32-33

You and I have a purpose.  We aren’t just here willy nilly.  That purpose is to Know, Love & Obediently Serve God.  We come to Know and Love Him through a relationship with His Son Jesus.  We Obediently Serve Him by sharing the Good News with others.  That is the New Covenant version of being a Watchman as described in Ezekiel 33.  No matter if you are a plumber or a retiree, this call remains and is where we will find the center of God’s will for our lives.

Lord, I will serve as a watchman for those whom are in my sphere of influence and any other You call me to…

Extra Discovery

Ezekiel 3 is where God first charged Ezekiel to be a watchman.

God takes no pleasure when sinful people suffer the consequences of sin (Ezekiel 33:11).  Romans 6:23 teaches us that the wages of sin is death but the free gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ.  God takes no pleasure in sin and death and provides the only way to avoid it - a relationship with Christ who paid the debt of our sin.  This is the Good News.  This good news gives us hope in this life and in eternity.  Do you have this hope?
