The enemy is always at war against the place of worship…in the O.T. that was the Temple…in the N.T. you are the temple.

Babylon destroyed the temple and left it desolate.   Why would God let or cause this to happen?  The temple had turned into a place where two things happened: idolatry or religiosity.  Neither of those where anything near its intended purpose.  God would start fresh after a season of rest for the land.  When God starts fresh make sure that you aren’t holding on to something old and worn out.

Yield

Lord, thank You that You provide rest for me: body and soul.

Revelation

Sabbath - God’s gift of rest to people and land alike.  God’s creation becomes weary in this sin-cursed earth.  God provides rest as a means of resetting.  For humanity, that rest reset’s our Mind to Know God better, our Heart to be able to receive His love and our bodies so that we me serve Him faithfully and obediently.  Even though Sabbath is an O.T. doctrine, rest is just as important to us as N.T. followers of Christ.  Are you getting enough of it?
