Be sure that your life may regularly bump into others who are self-absorbed or even intensely violent.  Haman, in the book of Esther, is an example of how this type of person can be difficult to deal with and can put you off track.  Do not bow to people like this but only to God.  You don’t have to disrespect them to respect God.  Trust in God to be your refuge and don’t let unhappy, or even twisted, folk derail you.

Lord, I will bow only to You.

Extra Discovery

We learn of Haman and that is in an Agagite.  If you read 1 Samuel 15 you learn of King Agag of Amalek.  It is likely that Haman is a descendant of Agag…an arch enemy of the Jews.

You were Made for a purpose…there is an ultimate meaning for your life.  Do you know what it is?  Yes, part of that purpose is to be Mended by Christ and Morphed by His Spirit but there is more…God has specific things for you to do and experience.  Like Esther, that purpose/meaning could be thrust upon you.  Each day you are faced with choices.  As you make them, seek out God’s will to ensure you are fulfilling your life meaning.
