3:16 Plan - Week 26 - Day 4 - Year 2 - 1 Chronicles 1:4-5:26

What if we lived our lives so that a ‘but’ didn’t have to be included in a description of how we followed Christ?

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

1 Chronicles 5:24-25 - These men had a great reputation as mighty warriors and leaders of their clans. But these tribes were unfaithful to the God of their ancestors. They worshiped the gods of the nations that God had destroyed.

Knowing your place in the life of Israel was very important to the people, thus these lists had great value.  Throughout these many generations listed, Israel had been a part of many miracles and much mercy.  God’s faithfulness was evident in how long this small clan had prospered on the earth.  When we think about our own families, and our place in them, we can be reminded of that same faithfulness from that same God!

Lord, I desire to follow you whole-heartedly.

Extra Discovery

Why were these genealogy lists important?

The life of the Marred by Sin or Misled by Satan person may have highlights of good but will always have an interjection of ‘but’ just like our scripture today (1 Chron 5:24-25).  The life of the Mended by Christ and Morphed but he Spirit person can have a whole different type of ‘but’.  In spite of any human weakness, our lives can be turned to the good by many ‘but God’ statements.  I was struggling, BUT GOD rescued me by His Grace!
