As God’s Word doesn’t return void, He also goes before His followers to keep them on track to obey Him. 

Pray The Word and Prepare for The Word

Ezra 6:6 - So King Darius sent this message: "Now therefore, Tattenai, governor of the province west of the Euphrates River, and Shethar-bozenai, and your colleagues and other officials west of the Euphrates River--stay away from there!

As God’s justice is still moving every direction around Jerusalem, the work on the temple is able to continue.  This is a great reminder that things going on in our periphery do not need to keep us from whatever task God has called us to do.

The descriptions of wickedness coming and being worshipped in Babylon lends to the future Babylon shown in Revelation 17-18.

We are blessed to Know and Love God so we can Obediently Serve God.  There will be many things that attempt to hinder us in that service.  As followers of Christ, we must stay steady and consistent in pursuit of using our lives to do all that God calls us to do just as the Israelites were able to continue to build the temple in spite of momentary and light afflictions.
